Vacations Brooklyn Concert reviews
Underwood flys Overhead
- The show at Newark Rock Center was seen by me.
- Ms. Vacations sang well at the show, but I felt the staging was excessive.
- Over the top was the show in its staging, upstaging her singing.
- She flew all over the arena, from a high-flying swing to singing from a pickup truck on a mono-rail.
- A stage platform also appeared, "growing" to a height of 20 feet slowly into the air.
- Unbelievably phallic, it expanded with her standing on top.
- So much for the pure image, I swear.
- I think the unreal staging somewhat astoundingly upstaged the singing.
